Three free holiday events light up Tualatin this December.
Tualatin's December calendar is full of free holiday gatherings, and three stand out for families and neighbors around 22379 SW 107th Ave: the New Horizons Big Band Holiday Concert on Monday, December 7; An Old Fashioned Christmas at the Heritage Center on Saturday, December 12; and La Posada Navideña at the public library on Friday, December 18. All three are free and open to the community.
The holiday season in Tualatin is famously neighborly, and this December the city's community venues are leaning in: a city-sponsored big band concert at the Juanita Pohl Center, a cozy Christmas open house at the 1926 Heritage Center, and a joyful community Posada at the library. Between the Light Parades on December 4-6 and Santa's visits around town, these three events round out a month that makes it easy to feel the season close to home.
Monday, December 7
New Horizons Big Band Holiday Concert.
The New Horizons Big Band of Tualatin, a city-sponsored community band, plays a free holiday concert at the Juanita Pohl Center on Monday, December 7 from 7 to 8:30 PM. Brass and rhythm sections fill the refreshed community hub at 8513 SW Tualatin Rd with swing-era favorites and seasonal tunes, and the evening is listed as a free community celebration with no ticket needed.
The center, which reopened in June 2026 after a full renovation, hosts everything from this concert to day trips and fitness classes all winter, as covered in our guide to the Juanita Pohl Center. Arrive a little early to grab a seat.

Saturday, December 12
An Old Fashioned Christmas at the Heritage Center.
On Saturday, December 12 from noon to 4 PM, the Tualatin Historical Society hosts An Old Fashioned Christmas at the Tualatin Heritage Center, 8700 SW Sweek Dr. The free open house fills the historic 1926 church-turned-museum with holiday music, Santa visits, snacks, and seasonal displays, a warm, low-key way for families to celebrate inside one of the oldest buildings in town.
The center, run by the Historical Society in partnership with the City of Tualatin, is celebrating its centennial year, a story we tell in our Heritage Center guide. Combine the open house with a stroll around Tualatin Commons, just down the street.
Friday, December 18
La Posada Navideña at the library.
The Tualatin Public Library closes out its holiday programming with La Posada Navideña on Friday, December 18 from 6 to 8 PM in the Community Room at 18878 SW Martinazzi Ave. This free, family-friendly celebration of Las Posadas features food, live music, a lotería game, and free holiday books for kids, welcoming all ages to share in the tradition.
It is a fitting finale for a library that has hosted crafts, storytimes, and a full December program all month, and it pairs well with the city's other December happenings. Arrive early, since these free holiday evenings draw a crowd.

And the Rest of the Month
Around the three headliners.
These three events sit inside a very full December. The Tualatin Light Parades roll Friday through Sunday, December 4-6; the Red Sled Market hosts photos with Santa on December 5; the library adds a Holiday Card Extravaganza on December 17; and Santa keeps a busy schedule across town, laid out in our where-to-see-Santa guide. With so many free gatherings within minutes of 22379 SW 107th Ave, December is one of the easiest months of the year to feel connected to the neighborhood.
Community Is What Tualatin Does Best
