December at the Tualatin library: cards, crafts, and cozy nights in.
Teen Movie Night on December 4, a Holiday Card Extravaganza on December 17, Makerspace open labs, free citizenship classes, and holiday hours: the Tualatin Public Library's free December lineup, minutes from 22379 SW 107th Ave.
The Tualatin Public Library at 18878 SW Martinazzi Ave turns especially cozy in December, when the winter light fades early and the building fills with evening crafts, movie nights, and the hum of the Makerspace. Nearly everything on the calendar is free, and the library's holiday hours give families a few quiet dates to plan around.
Dates below come from the library's events calendar and the City of Tualatin's event pages; registration details are on each listing, and the always-updated roundup lives on the local events page.

Part of the library's adult programming alongside the Intercambio language exchange, every Wednesday 4:30-5:30 PM, and the Digital Navigator tech help sessions.
DINOvember Finale
All November, through November 30
The library's month-long dinosaur celebration, with dino crafts for kids, dino movie nights for teens, dino bingo, a scavenger hunt, and the Deduce the Dinos guessing game, runs through November 30. December's programs take over right after, so catch the dinos while you can.
Storytimes and Weekly Programs
Weekly, on the school-year schedule
Tiny Tots on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime Thursdays at 1 PM, and the evening and inclusive storytimes continue on their weekly rhythm into December, giving families a warm, free outing when the rain arrives.
Plan ahead
Holiday hours to know.
The library closes early at 5 PM on Tuesday, December 24, is closed all day Thursday, December 25, and closes at 6 PM on Thursday, December 31, in time for families to head to their New Year's plans, including the library's own Noon Year's Eve countdown if it returns for the morning. Regular hours resume in January, with the full holiday schedule posted on the library's page.
Between a card-making evening, Makerspace drop-ins, and storytimes, the library is the coziest free room in Tualatin all month, and it anchors a holiday season that also includes the Light Parades on December 4-6 and weekly visits to the Red Sled Market.
