The Giant Pumpkin Regatta.
On Sunday, October 18, from 10 AM to 4 PM, the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta fills the Lake of the Commons with hollowed-out racing gourds, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin golf, food, and live entertainment. Admission is free, and the famous races launch at noon and 2 PM.
It is the centerpiece of a whole weekend. Saturday, October 17 brings Pumpkins and Pints and the Rotary 5K, and Friday's weigh-off kicks everything off. Our day-by-day weekend guide has the full plan, from parking to the best viewing spots along the lake.
Halloween Week
From the library to the greenspace.
Halloween week in Tualatin starts at the library. The Halloween Dance-o-Rama takes over the Community Room on Wednesday, October 28 from 10:30 AM to noon, with dancing and trick-or-treating around the library for babies through early elementary. The same week, the library opens its community Day of the Dead altar on October 27, with a free family celebration on Friday, October 30.
On Halloween itself, Saturday, October 31, Tualatin Community Gather hosts Trick or Treat Off the Street at Chieftain Dakota Greenspace, a safe, family-friendly alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating. Pair it with Lee Farms, which keeps its corn maze and pumpkin patch running through October 31, and the month closes on a genuinely festive note.
