A warm community center activity hall with bingo tables, string lights, and a line-dancing class on a late-autumn evening
Family & Community / October 30, 2026

The Juanita Pohl Center's winter lineup: bingo, line dancing, and holiday day trips.

Tualatin's community and active-aging center on SW Tualatin Rd keeps a full winter calendar: Bingo Tuesday mornings, line dancing Friday nights, Medicare enrollment help, and a Christmas Ships day trip to the Old Spaghetti Factory on December 17, all minutes from 22379 SW 107th Ave.

The Juanita Pohl Center reopened in June 2026 after a full interior renovation, and its winter 2026-27 season is the first full one in the refreshed building. The center's program guide covers the building, hours, and how to register; this is the seasonal calendar, what is on between now and the new year.

Most programs are free or low-cost and open to the whole community, not just older adults. Registration for the city's Winter 2026-27 recreation session opens Monday, November 9, so the center is a busy place as the holidays approach.

On the calendar

Winter highlights at the center.

Bingo

Tuesday, November 3, 10:30-11:30 AM (weekly sessions on the city calendar)

A free drop-in Bingo session for adults, a relaxed mid-morning gathering to play, visit, and meet neighbors as the days turn cooler. Part of the center's ongoing weekly programming through the winter.

Line Dance

Friday, November 20, 7:00-9:00 PM

A free Friday-evening line dance session open to adults of all skill levels. No partner or experience needed, just comfortable shoes and a willingness to learn the steps. A lively, low-cost way to kick off the holiday weekend.

Crafts with the library

Thursday, November 19, 11 AM-noon

The Tualatin Public Library's monthly Crafts program for adults and teens meets at the Juanita Pohl Center, a free hands-on hour with a new project each month. Check the library's calendar for the December session.

SHIBA Medicare Open Enrollment help

Fridays, November 20 and December 4, 12:30-3:30 PM

Free one-on-one Medicare open enrollment assistance from trained SHIBA counselors. Bring your Medicare card and questions about plans, costs, and coverage for the year ahead; appointments are typically encouraged.

Tualatin High School chamber music

Early December 2026, exact date on the city calendar

A free holiday performance by Tualatin High School student musicians at the center, part of the city's early-December programming. A low-key way to hear the Timberwolves' young musicians and start the season with live music.

Christmas Ships day trip

Thursday, December 17, 6:00-9:00 PM

The center's holiday day trip heads to the Old Spaghetti Factory on the Willamette, where dinner tables face the river as the Portland Christmas Ship Parade sails past. Seats are limited, so reserve early; the full story is in the Christmas Ships guide.

Every week

The steady rhythm of the center.

Beyond the special events, the center runs a weekly rhythm that anchors the community: the Veterans Recognition Breakfast on November 10, the meal program with luncheons at noon on Tuesdays and Fridays, free billiards on Friday mornings, Coffee and Conversations drop-ins, and winter recreation registration opening November 9. The full list is on the city's events calendar, and the center's staff are happy to point newcomers to the right room.

For prospective buyers, the center is a reminder of what makes Tualatin livable at every age: a town that keeps its community spaces busy, its neighbors connected, and its calendar full from the first frost to the new year.
