Winter recreation sign-ups open November 9 in Tualatin.

Tualatin Parks and Recreation opens registration for its Winter 2026-27 session on Monday, November 9, 2026. Youth camps, athletics, fitness classes, and arts programs run from December through February, and the most popular spots fill fast, minutes from 22379 SW 107th Ave.

The city's recreation team runs three big sessions a year, and the winter edition, which spans December through February, is the one that carries families through the darkest stretch of the year. Registration for the 2026-27 winter session opens at the start of the second full week of November, and the city's Community Pass portal takes bookings online for everything from youth sports to adult fitness.

Winter is also when school breaks land, and the city's Winter Break Camp at the Van Raden Community Center in Tualatin Community Park is one of the fastest-filling programs on the calendar. If you are new to Tualatin, this is a good session to know about before the holidays pile up.

How to register

Three ways to get signed up.

Mark the date

Monday, November 9, 2026

Registration opens online at the start of the week. Popular youth programs and winter camps tend to fill quickly, so setting a reminder a day or two ahead is the practical move for families.

Community Pass portal

Register online at the city's recreation page

The Explore Tualatin Activity Guide and the Community Pass portal carry the full winter catalog. Tualatin residents pay the resident rate, and property owners and people who work in the city may qualify for it too; everyone else adds a 25% surcharge.

Help by phone

503-691-3061, 8 AM-5 PM weekdays

City recreation staff answer registration questions and can walk new families through account setup and scholarship options by phone during business hours on the city registration page.

Winter Break Camp

Two holiday sessions at Van Raden.

Winter Break Camp runs two sessions for kids in grades 1 through 6 at the Van Raden Community Center, 8610 SW 85th Ave inside Tualatin Community Park: Monday through Wednesday, December 21-23, and Monday through Thursday, December 28-31, 8 AM to 4 PM each day. Recreation leaders run winter crafts, holiday games, a gingerbread house contest, holiday movies, and ice skating outings, with kids packing a lunch and snacks provided.

The camp is the single most useful program for working families during winter break, and both sessions typically fill from the resident waitlist each year. Full details live on the Tualatin events page, alongside the rest of the city's winter calendar.

The full session

More than camps: athletics, fitness, and arts.

The winter session catalog covers far more than school-break care. The Explore Tualatin Activity Guide lists athletics and youth sports, fitness and personal development classes, and arts and crafts programs running December through February at facilities across the city, from the Juanita Pohl Center to the community centers in the parks. Adults get their share too, with drop-in programs and classes that keep the social calendar full through the shortest days of the year.

One note for families: Tualatin's public pool is the outdoor Tualatin Community Pool, so it closes for the season in the fall. Winter swimming is a short drive north to the district aquatics centers in Beaverton and Tigard, which is worth knowing when you are planning rainy-day activities between December and February. For everything else, the city's own recreation session is the hub.

Make Your Move

A neighborhood with a full activity calendar.

Recreation programs, parks, and community centers within minutes of the front door are part of what makes Tualatin work for families. 22379 SW 107th Ave sits close to Tualatin Community Park, the public library, and the greenway trails, so winter never has to mean cabin fever. Paul Knighton of MORE Realty can show you the house and the neighborhood around it.
