A welcoming community meeting room with chairs in a circle, a corkboard of neighborhood maps, and soft autumn light
Community Guide / October 5, 2026

October nights for meeting the neighbors.

Tualatin's neighborhood Community Involvement Organizations hold October meetings on the 22nd and the 24th, an easy way for new and longtime residents alike to plug into what is happening block by block.

One of Tualatin's quietly defining features is how organized it is at the neighborhood level. The city is divided into Community Involvement Organizations, or CIOs, volunteer groups that serve as the recognized voice of each area and feed resident concerns about traffic safety, parks, and planning directly to city staff and council. They are open to anyone who lives nearby, and this fall's round of meetings is a welcoming on-ramp for new neighbors.

For anyone considering a move near 22379 SW 107th Ave, these meetings are also a practical preview of what living here feels like: a town where the annual calendar is full of ways to show up, and where decisions about streets and parks start with neighbors talking to neighbors. Two October gatherings are confirmed on the City of Tualatin's calendar.

On the calendar

Two neighborhood meetings this month.

Martinazzi Woods CIO

Thursday, October 22, at the Marquis Community Center

The Martinazzi Woods neighborhood group gathers mid-month to talk through the issues on its watch: public safety, transportation, parks, and updates on downtown revitalization. Expect the usual neighborhood rhythm of announcements, questions, and updates from city staff.

Riverpark CIO

Saturday, October 24, at Tualatin City Services

The Riverpark CIO meets with a weekend slot that makes it easy for families to attend, covering the same core threads: safety, transportation, parks, and where the downtown plan is headed. City staff typically attend to answer questions directly.

Why it matters

How Tualatin builds community, one neighborhood at a time.

CIO meetings sit alongside the events that make Tualatin lively all year: the farmers market at the Commons, the Giant Pumpkin Regatta that closes out October, summer concerts, and volunteer programs like Put Down Roots Tualatin. Together they add up to the community feel that prospective residents often ask about first, and they are all a short drive from 22379 SW 107th Ave.

Meeting times and locations are published on the City of Tualatin's news page, and the running list of everything happening nearby lives on our local events page. If you are new to the area, simply showing up and saying hi is all it takes to get involved.
