One small town, one big holiday weekend.
The Sherwood Holiday Festival fills downtown Old Town with a community parade, Christmas tree lighting, music, and Santa on Saturday, December 5, 2026, about 10 minutes from 22379 SW 107th Ave.
The Sherwood Holiday Festival, sometimes called the Sherwood Winter Festival, is the city's annual holiday celebration held the first Saturday of December in downtown Sherwood. The 2026 edition is confirmed for Saturday, December 5, with the action centered on Old Town, Cannery Square, and City Hall Park. A community parade leads the day, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony marks the official start of the season, and musical performances, Santa appearances, and free family activities fill the streets in between.
It lands the same weekend as two of Tualatin's own December traditions: Starry Nights and Holiday Lights at Lake of the Commons and the first night of the Tualatin Light Parades. Between the two towns, neighbors can string together a full weekend of holiday lights without a long drive.
Festival Guide
A day in Old Town.
Date and places
Saturday, December 5, 2026, in downtown Sherwood's Old Town, Cannery Square, and City Hall Park. Free to attend, with the full schedule posted by the festival organizers.
The community parade
The day's centerpiece is a community parade through downtown, with local groups, decorated vehicles, and plenty of small-town spirit. Line the streets early for a good spot.
Tree lighting
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony anchors the evening, turning City Hall Park into the town's gathering place as the lights come on for the season.
Music and Santa
Musical performances run through the afternoon and evening, and Santa makes appearances for photos and visits. A reliable stop for the holiday-season kickoff.
Family activities
Free family activities fill Old Town and Cannery Square, making it easy to spend the whole afternoon moving between the parade, the park, and the shops.
Getting there
Downtown Sherwood is about 10 minutes from 22379 SW 107th Ave. Parking fills for the parade, so arrive early or plan to park a few blocks out and walk in through Old Town.
The Full Weekend
Pair it with Tualatin's own lights.
Since Sherwood's festival and Tualatin's Light Parades both fall on the first weekend of December, 2026 brings a true two-town celebration: Friday night's parade route through Tualatin, Saturday's tree lighting and parade in Sherwood, and Sunday's final Tualatin parade to close it out. Keep an eye on robinhoodfestival.org for the full schedule, and check the Tualatin events page for everything else on the December calendar.
