Dining Guide / October 2, 2026

The metro's big-name tables are minutes away.

You do not have to drive downtown for a destination meal. Din Tai Fung's celebrated soup dumplings, Kyuramen's ramen and bubble tea, and Choza's handmade-tortilla Mexican all sit within about ten minutes of 22379 SW 107th Ave, across the border in Tigard.

Tualatin has an excellent restaurant scene of its own, covered in the best-restaurants guide. But for a special-occasion night out, the big-name kitchens of Tigard's Washington Square and Bridgeport Village are practically in your backyard. Three standouts worth planning around are Din Tai Fung, Kyuramen, and Choza, each a destination in its own right and each a short drive from home.

The Three Spots

Where to go for a night out.

Din Tai Fung

The world-famous Taiwanese restaurant chain opened its Oregon location at Washington Square mall in 2018 and remains a dining destination. Its signature xiao long bao, delicate soup dumplings, are the draw, and the menu extends well beyond them. Because it is so popular, plan ahead and expect a wait. Phone: 503-768-9888.

Kyuramen x TBaar

This Taiwanese chain opened its first Pacific Northwest outpost at 7500 SW Dartmouth St in Tigard, in the plaza across from Washington Square, in December 2024. It pairs rich, savory ramen with a full bubble-tea bar, an easy choice for a satisfying casual meal that still feels like an outing. Phone: 971-371-2913.

Choza Tacos y Cantina

At Bridgeport Village, Choza brings authentic Mexican street food with handmade tortillas, a deep tequila and cocktail list, and a lively cantina atmosphere. It is a natural pick for a festive night out, and it is the closest of the three to the listing. Phone: 503-673-2300.

All three are open as of fall 2026; hours and menus change, so call ahead to confirm before you go. For a full picture of what is close to home, browse the Tualatin dining scene update and the date-night guide.

A Livability Bonus

Big-city dining, small-town pace.

One of the quiet pleasures of living in Tualatin is how close the metro's best-known restaurants are. You get the calm of a walkable small city and, ten minutes away, tables that draw people from across the Portland area. Add Tualatin's own growing lineup of hidden-gem kitchens, and there is always a reason to eat well.

Come Hungry

Dinner out, then home in minutes.

From soup dumplings to handmade tortillas, big-name dining is one more reason families choose Tualatin. The home at 22379 SW 107th Ave puts all of it within easy reach, and Paul Knighton of MORE Realty can show you the neighborhood, dining scene and all.
