Rows of Pinot Noir vines in autumn leading to a rustic barn tasting room glowing with warm light in the Tualatin Valley

Barnello Winery: Tualatin's hidden-gem backyard winery.

A family-owned, small-lot estate winery tucked off Stafford Road pours limited-release Pinot Noir from a converted horse barn, and it is a short drive from 22379 SW 107th Ave.

Most people do not expect to find a working winery in Tualatin, but that is exactly what Barnello Winery is. Tucked off Stafford Road at 21620 SW Stafford Rd, it is a family-run, estate-grown producer making a small number of hand-crafted wines each year, poured for guests from a tasting room that was once a horse barn.

Local wine writers have called it a hidden gem, and the label fits. With very limited production, Barnello offers the kind of intimate, appointment-only tasting you would usually drive to Dundee Hills for, except it sits in Tualatin's own backyard.

Small-Batch and Estate-Grown

Wine made in small lots.

Barnello focuses on estate-grown, hand-crafted wines with production of only about 120 to 140 cases a year. The lineup centers on Pinot Noir, including a Reserve and a Pinot Noir Blanc, and extends to Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, rosé, Sangiovese, Syrah, and Tempranillo, all from select estate fruit.

That small scale means each vintage is a true reflection of the vineyard and the season, and it is why tasting at Barnello feels personal rather than production-line. For wine lovers, it is a genuine discovery in the middle of the Tualatin Valley.

Plan a Visit

Tastings by reservation.

Barnello hosts visits by advance reservation, offering private tastings, vineyard tours, and winemaking conversations for small groups, typically two to twelve people, with room for larger private parties and events. Because hours and availability change, the best way to plan is to reach out directly through the winery's website to book your tasting.
