The Tualatin Valley Symphony is a volunteer orchestra that has been bringing live orchestral music to the community since 2007. It performs out of Tigard Friends Church at 15800 SW Hall Blvd in Tigard, a relaxed, family-friendly setting on the doorstep of Tualatin where the classics are served without pretense.
For a Friday night of concert-hopping to a Sunday afternoon of strings and brass, this is the local tradition to put in your calendar. The orchestra has announced its dates for the year, with programs still to be published on its website.

Community orchestras are gloriously low-key: no dress code, no strict theater rules, and a program that leans toward familiar crowd-pleasers. The Tigard Friends Church sanctuary is small enough that every seat feels close to the stage, and families and new concertgoers are welcome.
