Tualatin's Year-Round Events and Festival Guide.

From the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta to the Crawfish Festival and summer concerts in the park, Tualatin offers a vibrant calendar of community events that bring neighbors together all year long.

Tualatin may be a mid-sized suburb, but its community spirit rivals cities many times its size. One of the things that makes this city special is the year-round calendar of events that brings residents together, from whimsical pumpkin boat races to sizzling summer music festivals.

Whether you are a new resident looking to get involved or a prospective buyer curious about the community vibe, here is your guide to Tualatin's best annual events and celebrations.

Late Summer Tradition

Tualatin Crawfish Festival.

One of Tualatin's oldest and most anticipated events, the Tualatin Crawfish Festival has been a community cornerstone for decades. Held each August, this lively celebration brings Cajun flavors to the Pacific Northwest with mountains of crawfish, live music, a cook-off, family-friendly activities, and fireworks. It is the kind of event where you run into neighbors, make new friends, and eat well past full.

The festival takes place at Tualatin Community Park, with the crawfish flown in fresh from Louisiana. Live bands play throughout the day, and the kids' area features games, face painting, and activities for all ages. Mark your calendar for mid-August each year.

October Signature Event

West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta.

The West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta is Tualatin's most famous event, and for good reason. Each October, costumed competitors climb into giant hollowed-out pumpkins and race across Lake of the Commons in a spectacle that draws thousands of spectators from across the Portland metro area.

The day includes the regatta races, a giant pumpkin weigh-off, pumpkin bowling and golf, arts and crafts vendors, a 5K fun run, food trucks, and live entertainment. It is pure, joyful whimsy. The 2026 edition is scheduled for October 18, and it is an event you will not want to miss. Residents of the neighborhoods around Lake of the Commons can walk right over.
