Seasonal Guide to Tualatin: Farmers Markets, Sunflowers and More.

From the Friday evening farmers market at Lake of the Commons to the Sunflower Festival at Lee Farms and year-round berry picking, Tualatin offers seasonal experiences that make every month feel special.

Life in Tualatin follows the rhythm of the seasons. As the weather warms, the farmers market returns to the Lake of the Commons, the fields at Lee Farms burst into sunflower bloom, and nearby berry farms open their gates for U-pick season. It is one of the great pleasures of living here: the calendar is marked not by obligations, but by experiences you actually look forward to.

Here is a guide to Tualatin's best seasonal activities, from spring blossoms through the holiday season.

June Through September

Tualatin Farmers Market.

The Tualatin Farmers Market is the heart of summer in this community. Held Friday evenings from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the scenic Lake of the Commons (8325 SW Nyberg St), this market brings together local farmers, food artisans, and live music in one of the most picturesque settings in the city. Fresh produce, flowers, hot food vendors, and handcrafted goods fill the booths while neighbors catch up on the lawn by the lake.

There is something special about a Friday evening market: the work week winds down, the live band starts playing, and the whole community seems to converge on the lakefront. It is the kind of local tradition that makes Tualatin feel like home from the moment you arrive.

Generations of Tradition

Lee Farms: Sunflowers, Harvests and Holidays.

Lee Farms has been a Tualatin landmark since 1869, making it one of the oldest continuously operating family farms in Oregon. Located at 21975 SW 65th Ave, Lee Farms is a destination across every season. In late summer, the Sunflower Festival transforms the fields into a sea of golden blooms, with rows of sunflowers perfect for picking and photographing. Food trucks and live music add to the festive atmosphere.

As autumn arrives, the Fall Harvest Festival takes over with hayrides, a corn maze, a hay maze, barrel wagon rides, a beer garden, and Lee Farms' famous pumpkin patch. The farm market and bakery are open Wednesday through Sunday year-round, offering fresh produce, baked goods, pies, and seasonal treats. In December, the farm offers Christmas trees and wreaths, making it a four-season destination for families.

May Through October

Winona Grange Gathering Market

Held on select Sundays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the historic Winona Grange (8340 SW Seneca St), this gathering market brings together local farmers, food vendors, artisans, and live music. It is a smaller, more intimate alternative to the Friday farmers market, with a strong sense of community and a focus on locally grown produce and handmade crafts.

Summer Through Fall

U-Pick Berries and Fruit

The Tualatin Valley is prime berry country. Unger Farms and Smith Berry Barn are local favorites for U-pick strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and marionberries.
