November at the Tualatin library: book sales, wreaths, and storytimes.

The Friends of the Library book sale, a Makerspace harvest craft, tech help, weekly storytimes, and a festive wreath workshop anchor the Tualatin Public Library's November calendar, minutes from 22379 SW 107th Ave.

As the rain settles in for good, the Tualatin Public Library at 18878 SW Martinazzi Ave becomes the coziest room in town. November 2026 packs in the Friends of the Library's twice-yearly book sale, an anniversary season of Makerspace programs, evening crafts for adults, and the storytime schedule that parents plan their weeks around. Nearly everything is free.

All dates below come from the library's events calendar and the City of Tualatin's event pages; registration details are on each listing, and the always-updated roundup lives on the local events page.

On the calendar

November highlights at the library.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

Friday, November 6 (members preview 2-3 PM, public 3-6 PM) and Saturday, November 7, 10 AM-4 PM

The Friends' fall sale fills the Community Room and lobby with gently used books, media, and more, with proceeds supporting library programs. Members preview first on Friday at 2 PM; the public joins at 3 PM. Books by the bag make great early holiday gifts.

Super Saturday: Harvest Tree

Saturday, November 7, 2-3 PM, Makerspace

A free kids' craft for grades K-5 where young makers build their own harvest tree to take home, held in the Makerspace the same day as the book sale, one floor apart. A handy two-for-one family outing.

Digital Navigator: Free Tech Help

Saturdays, November 7 and November 21, 10 AM-6 PM

Free one-on-one help with phones, tablets, email, online forms, and everyday digital tasks. The late-November weekend session lands right before the holidays, handy for setting up a new device or a family group chat. Open to adults and teens.

Intercambio Language Exchange

Every Wednesday, 4:30-5:30 PM

A free weekly language exchange that pairs English speakers with Spanish speakers for conversational practice, part of the library's ongoing community programming. A relaxing way to learn a language and meet neighbors.

Mocktail Hour: Festive Wreaths

Thursday, November 19, 6-7:30 PM

An evening craft program for adults and teens 14 and up: sip seasonal mocktails while building a festive wreath to take home. A low-key way to start the holiday season with neighbors; registration is typically requested, so check the calendar for availability.

Makerspace Open Labs

Saturdays 10 AM-1 PM, Sundays 1:30-5:30 PM, Tuesdays 5:30-7:30 PM, Thursdays 4-6 PM

Drop-in open time in the free Makerspace for 3D printing, laser cutting, sewing, and more, on a steady weekly schedule. The space celebrated its fifth anniversary in October, and open labs keep running through the holidays.

For families

Storytimes keep their rhythm.

The weekly storytime schedule that runs during the school year continues straight through November: Tiny Tots on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime on Thursdays at 1 PM, PJ Storytime in the Children's Room on Thursday evenings (November 5, 12, and 19 at 6 PM), and an Inclusive Storytime for ages 0-6 with NW Regional ESD on Monday, November 23 at 2 PM. Book Babies lap-sit storytime meets Monday, November 16 at 10:30 AM.

Note the holiday hours: the library closes at 6 PM on Wednesday, November 11 (Veterans Day) and Wednesday, November 25 (the day before Thanksgiving), and is closed Thursday, November 26. Storytimes are back on their usual rhythm the following week, and the calendar on the library programs guide covers the full school-year lineup.
