Late Summer to Fall in Tualatin: Your September Guide.

September in Tualatin is a sweet spot: the farmers market is still going strong, the weather is perfect for outdoor activities, and the first hints of fall are appearing. Here is your guide to making the most of the season transition.

September in the Pacific Northwest has a magic all its own. The intense summer heat fades, the morning air carries a crisp edge, and the light shifts to that warm golden quality photographers chase all year. In Tualatin, September is the month when summer and autumn overlap, offering the best of both seasons.

Whether you have just moved into the neighborhood or have lived here for years, here are the essential experiences, events, and activities that make September in Tualatin unforgettable.

Fridays 4-8 PM

Tualatin Farmers Market: Five Fridays Left.

The Tualatin Farmers Market at Lake of the Commons runs through the end of September, which means you have five more Friday evenings to experience Tualatin's premier community gathering. August 28, September 4, 11, 18, and 25 are the remaining dates, each running from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

As the season shifts, the market's offerings change too. Late-summer tomatoes, sweet corn, and berries give way to apples, squash, pumpkins, and the first root vegetables of fall. The live music lineup continues, food vendors serve up hot dinner options, and the lawn by the lake fills with families enjoying the last warm evenings of the year.

Perfect Weather

September is Oregon's best month for the outdoors.

With average highs in the mid-70s and low humidity, September in Tualatin offers some of the most comfortable outdoor weather of the year. Here is how to take advantage of it.

Tualatin River Greenway

A 5.3-mile paved trail along the Tualatin River, perfect for walking, biking, or running. In September the trail is shaded and cool, with late-summer wildflowers blooming along the banks. Access points are minutes from the property.

Ibach Park

Tualatin's premier community park is a short walk from 22379 SW 107th Ave. The award-winning inclusive playground, sports fields, and paved paths make it ideal for family outings and after-work walks in the lingering evening light.

Tualatin River Kayaking

September is an ideal month for kayaking or paddleboarding on the Tualatin River. Water levels are still good for navigation, and the crowds thin after Labor Day. Rentals available at Browns Ferry Park through Alder Creek Kayak.

Coming Up

What is coming in October.

September is the calm before the festival storm. The Lee Farms Fall Harvest Festival kicks off September 21 and runs through Halloween, offering hayrides, a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and a beer garden. Then October brings Tualatin's signature event: the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta on October 18, where costumed competitors race giant hollowed-out pumpkins across Lake of the Commons.

The Winona Grange Gathering Market holds its final dates on September 14, September 28, and October 12 before closing for the season. And Halloween brings Trick or Treat Off the Street at Chieftain Dakota Greenspace, a safe community celebration for families.
