A new Korean home-style kitchen lands in Sherwood.
Ham Ji Bak, a family-owned Korean restaurant, opened in Sherwood in June 2026 with soondubu stew, Korean BBQ, and shareable hot pots, about 15 minutes from 22379 SW 107th Ave.
Tualatin's Asian dining scene keeps getting better, and the newest addition to the neighborhood's reach is Ham Ji Bak (함지박, also spelled Hamjibak), a family-owned Korean restaurant at 21035 SW Pacific Hwy in Sherwood, near the Walgreens on Highway 99W. It opened in June 2026, and the local Sherwood Sun profiled it that August as a brand-new gathering spot for the area.
The menu is built around the kind of food you would hope to find at a Korean family table: bubbling soft-tofu stews, Korean BBQ, and party-size hot pots made for sharing. For anyone house-hunting near 22379 SW 107th Ave, it is a genuinely new reason to point the car west toward Sherwood.
On the menu
What to order at Ham Ji Bak.
Soft-tofu stews and soups
Soondubu, galbitang, and more
Soondubu (soft-tofu stew) is the signature, served bubbling in a stone pot and often finished tableside. Heartier options like galbitang, a clear short-rib soup, are made for slower, colder evenings, and the kind of weather Tualatin knows well by late fall.
Korean BBQ and grilled plates
Galbi, bossam, and pork ribs
Grilled short ribs (galbi), slow-braised pork ribs, and bossam, the classic steamed pork belly served with crisp lettuce and ssamjang, anchor the BBQ side of the menu. Spicy stir-fried squid adds a brighter, more peppery option.
Party-size hot pots
Jeongol made for sharing
Jeongol hot pots are the menu's centerpiece for groups: a big simmering pot of broth, meat, and vegetables meant to be shared family-style across the table. They make a natural pick for a weekend dinner with friends or visiting family.
Rice bowls and banchan
Dolsot bibimbap and the sides that come with everything
Beef dolsot bibimbap arrives in a hot stone bowl with a golden crust of rice at the bottom, and japchae, the classic glass-noodle stir-fry, is on the menu too. Like most Korean restaurants, banchan side dishes round out every table.
