Two Celtic nights light up Winona Grange.

Tualatin's historic grange hall hosts a First Friday Ceili Mor on November 6 and a community concert by Scottish-Irish folk band Dallahan on November 12, 2026, two real reasons to plan a night out close to home.

Winona Grange #271, the century-old community hall at the edge of Tualatin Commons, hosts some of the most distinctive live music in the south Portland metro. This November the calendar is especially rich with Celtic programming: an Irish social dance evening on the first Friday and a full-length concert by Dallahan, one of the most celebrated Scottish-Irish acoustic bands touring today.

Both events are open to the public and minutes from 22379 SW 107th Ave. For prospective residents, they are also a window into Tualatin's lively arts scene and the kind of small-town gathering places that make a community feel connected.

First Friday Ceili Mor.

The month opens with a Ceili Mor, a traditional Irish social dance evening hosted by IrishPDX at the Grange. A ceili (pronounced kay-lee) is as much about community as it is about dancing: live or recorded Irish tunes set the pace, experienced dancers lead the way, and newcomers are encouraged to join in at whatever level they are comfortable.

First Friday ceilis have become a regular fixture on the Grange calendar, drawing a friendly mix of regulars and first-timers from across the metro. Come early to grab a seat, listen for a while, and let the music pull you onto the floor when you are ready.

Dallahan in concert.

A week later, Scottish-Irish quartet Dallahan returns to Tualatin for a special Community Celtic Concert on Thursday, November 12, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. The lineup pairs Jack Badcock on guitar and vocals with Ciaran Ryan on banjo, mandolin, and fiddle, Andrew Waite on accordion, and Benedict Morris on fiddle, and their live show fuses driving traditional tunes with original songwriting.

Tickets are $30 for general admission when purchased online in advance, or $35 at the door, available through Ticket Tomato. The Grange's intimate hall means every seat is close to the stage, and past concerts there have sold out, so advance tickets are worth grabbing for this one.

A Community Stage

Winona Grange, the little hall that brings Tualatin together.

Winona Grange #271 at 8340 SW Seneca St has been a gathering place for more than a century, long before Tualatin was a suburb. Today the hall carries on that tradition with the Gathering Market in the warmer months, quilting and dog-training classes, and a steady calendar of concerts and social dances.

The Grange sits just off Tualatin Commons, so an evening concert pairs naturally with dinner beforehand: grab a bite at one of the restaurants around the lake, then walk over to the show. Spend an evening at the Grange and you will understand why locals describe Tualatin's community life as its best-kept secret.
